Winter Solstice | Outdoor Learning Day at Northern Pines Camp: Dec. 20th

We are excited to announce that Heartland Lakes Community School will hold an Outdoor Learning Field Work Day at Northern Pines Camp on Friday, December 20th for the Winter Solstice. 


Dress Warm: Please remember to dress your scholar for a successful outdoor learning day including packing under layers, snow pants, winter boots, neck warmers, etc.


Dress-Up Days 12/16-12/20: We thought we'd add a little excitement to the week.

Monday: Color Competition

  • K: blue

  • 1: green

  • 2/3: red 

  • 4/5/6: black

Tuesday: Ugly sweater/Flannel day

Wednesday: Winter Whiteout Day

Thursday: Pajama Day

Friday: Fun Sock/Hat Day

Transportation Details:

BUS KIDS: If your child rides the bus, they will travel straight from Century Elementary to the camp.

DROP OFF KIDS: If you transport your child to school, we will have you drive them directly to Northern Pines Camp.  You will pick-up in the same location.  Drop-off time: 8:30  and Pick-up time: 2:45

Caregivers will follow the signs for the camp and enter the main entrance (directly across the road from the Headwaters Golf Course entrance) and drive the students to the Red Pine Building (Main Building).
