Our founding board is made up of visionary teachers, passionate professionals, a driven social worker, parents, and small business owners who are invested in the growth and education of our young scholars in the Heartland Lakes area of Park Rapids, MN community.

Energetic and driven, and a woman with vision and a mission. Joanna is always excited to take on the next challenge and push our team forward in the best interest of our kids and our community.

Small Business Owner & Licensed Birth-5 Provider 
HLCS Board Treasurer

Sarah brings a wide range of skills and experiences to the HCLS board. She has owned multiple businesses, is an expert in birth - 5 development, and is always engaged with the community.

Licensed Teacher

Passionate and Experienced, Kami has been teaching High School for decades! She brings her years of experience in the classroom and her vast knowledge of the world around us to the HLCS board.

Jovan is a Minnesota based artist and arts administrator with over 15 years of experience as an educator, curator, writer and visual artist. She is well-versed in non-profit management and brings a wealth of knowledge to the HLCS board.
