About the event
Join the HLCS Board and friends as we enjoy Itasca State Park's annual Evening Lantern Lit Snowshoe and Ski event.
We will meet at the Jacob V. Brown Visitor Center between 5:15-5:30pm to make a plan for enjoying the 3.5
mile lantern-lit loop. The event is scheduled as a ski or snowshoe event, and some portions of the trail may be walkable in snow boots.
If snow conditions are poor, the event will become a snow boot walk!
Once we are done exploring we will gather around the campfire for s'mores! (HLCS will bring the s'mores packs and roasting sticks)
Things you should bring: snowshoes or skis (weather permitting!), a headlamp or flashlights, & beverages.
Remember: This event is all outdoors and the weather forecast looks cold - so dress accordingly. (If you need a reminder about how to stay cozy warm in the cold, check this guide out)
Don't forget: you need a State Park pass in order to enter the park. If you don't have one - remember you can check one out at the Park Rapids Area Library!
